MAKING IT HAPPEN: Big Love

Last Thursday I launched my first novel, Shrilugh.

Thank you, sweet readers, for the love.

Some of you told me I deserved a spot on your ‘short list’ of must-read authors. Some of you stayed up all night reading my book. Some of you gave me 4 and 5 star ratings. Some of you reviewed my book and compared me to authors that anybody would be flattered to be compared to.

Some of you Tweeted your tweeters off for me. Some of you put my cover art on your FB banners. Some of you sent me notes to tell me how happy you were for my accomplishment. Some of you told your friends and family about Shrilugh, and some of them went right out and bought it.

Big love. That’s what I felt on Thursday, and every day since. Big love.

I want to tell you that you guys eased my fears – long-held, deep-rooted fears of instant rejection. I want to tell you that I never expected launching a book to be so much fun or so rewarding. I want to tell you that had you not been so generous in your kind words and big love, last week would have looked so very different.

Thank you so much, sweet friends.

Big love,

Mynniesue

Congratulations on your well-received launch. I recognize those fears as I’m experiencing them myself right now. I’m so pleased all has gone well for you. 🙂

Yay for an awesome book launch! You deserved every bit of the love you felt. Just finished reading it for the 2nd time and wanted you to know that, yep, it still rocks my socks off! 🙂

What a giant leap you took Myndi! It was like Lance Armstrong’s first step on the moon. So glad things went better than you thought. Whew! So like Fabio said, “It doesn’t end here.” Congratulations girl! 🙂

I’m a little late to this party, Myndi, but was watching and tweeting on your launch day. It’s what we do for each other to reward hard work and fine writing! Enjoy the experience … you deserve it!
