My momma was a good momma, and she taught me this very important lesson:
Don’t care too much about what people have to say about you.
Normally I try to stick to that advice. BUT you guys have been saying some really nice things about The Darkening. Really nice things. Things like:
Nice to see Rein again, *sigh*, even if I do want to club him over the head. (Oh, dear reader, I promise you’re not alone!)
and
My wife cares more about your book than she does me! (While I hate to be the cause of a marital spat, this one did make me giggle a tiny bit!)
and
I was up ’till 1:30 because of you. Loving this book!
and
Fantastic read – it’s kept me up late the past couple of nights. (There’s not an author on the planet who doesn’t crave hearing You’re book kept me up past my bedtime. I’m not about to start a new trend now!)
and
I have a serious crush on Rein. (*grin* I think you’ll have to get in line. *grin*)
and
I loved The Darkening even more than I loved Shrilugh. Once again, you hit it out of the park. (As anybody who’s ever written a series can attest, it’s a little bit terrifying, wondering if the subsequent books will meet your readers expectations. This kind of praise is balm for an anxious soul.)
THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking the time to drop a note telling me how you feel about The Darkening. Each kind word is a treasure.
Big ol’ fat love,
Mynniesue
p.s. Don’t forget, both Shrilugh and The Darkening are on sale this week for Read an eBook Week! Shrilugh is free! The Darkening is only Two Bucks! Click on those links to purchase and give away copies! Give, give, give!
Glad to see your sequel getting wonderful reception, Myndi 🙂
Thanks Angela! Me, too. 🙂
Congratulations, Myndi! This has been an exciting time with both books doing so well! My copies are relaxing with some fine company in my TBR pile. I am so looking forward to having some reading time and seeing for myself what all this great feedback is about. Write on!
Thanks, Patricia! I hope you love the books. *hugs*
