SECONDHAND BOOK REVIEW: Outliers

secondhandbookrevieweeeeeeeTITLE: Outliers

AUTHOR: Malcolm Gladwell

WHY I PICKED IT UP: I’d heard about this book here and there a few years back. The day I stumbled across it at the Goodwill I was scanning the shelves for some non-fiction, so into my basket it went.

WHY I LIKED IT: Gladwell has a knack for storytelling. The way he introduces you to his outliers, breaks their stories down into understandable circumstances, and draws you into his conclusions about those circumstances keeps you hooked from beginning to end. I enjoyed how it helped me to shift how I understand the world a little, and my own life, too.

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE ABOUT IT: Nothing. It was a great read, and I will be picking up his other books as well…after I’ve chewed through my TBR pile. 🙂

secondhandbookreviewyyyyyyyNormally this is where I shout out for all y’all who might want to read and review this book to holler in the comments. But this is another one of those books that I’m not able to let go of. My son is actually reading it right now, and I’m sure I’ll pick it up again in the future.

But if you’re interested in some non-fiction that will help you understand the inner (and, outer, too) workings of successful folks, and want something that will help you shift your perception of the world we live in a little, pick this one up.
