Today I wrote with coffee and cream puffs at hand. I also welcomed back my bad guy and had the most delicious time letting him do what he does best:
BE AWFUL.
NaNoBservation #1: Coffee and cream puffs bring out the scary in me.
Current NaNoWriMo word count: 7,667 (On target, but it’s only day three. This pace is bound to tank sooner or later.)
Laters gators,
Hi Myndi, you don’t know me but I feel like I know you and your family just a bit. Maybe you remember Kate from Hawaii…she said you are dear friends and she didn’t like you leaving here. Well, I married the wonderful lady and I wanted you to know that we spent many hours reading your Shrilugh stories to get her to fall asleep. It was quite funny because she would not remember the last 10 pages I had read, and so we would have to reread many parts of the book over and over again. Kate has trouble sleeping, constantly so you must finish the 3rd book! And though I was skeptical, I must admit that I grew to really enjoy the stories you wrote. My name is also Tom, so pretty easy to remember, yeah? Anyways, I find myself browsing your blog every so often and it would be terrible not to say SOMETHING once in awhile. Anyways, thank you for your wonderful stories, they will forever remind me of dating Kate. Oh, and if you don’t know, we’ve had a baby, her name is Aven and she is wonderful and 19 months young/old. Oh, and Kate’s 11 weeks pregnant with #2, so yes, we have made up for lost time (we are not spring chickens, maybe mid-summer grouse or something)! Anyways, thank you and hopefully someday we will meet.
THOMAS!!! Yes. I know you. I love your wife with all my heart–even with all the distance and time between us. I think about your little family often and am THRILLED to hear that you have #2 on the way!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment–I love that!–and for sharing your Shrilugh experience with me. ❤ Hopefully the third book will be done soon…it's had its fair share of hiccups.
I want, so so so so so badly to meet you and see Kate again and love on your babies!! Maybe 2016 will be the year.
Loads of love (seriously, loads of it!)
Myn
